Patricia Steckman

Patricia Ann Steckman, 83, of Westernport and formerly of Cumberland went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2021 at Hearthstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 5, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Lena (Jarvis) Swanger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Steckman, Sr.; and her sons, James Richard Steckman, Jr. and Scott David Steckman.

Patty was a member of the Melvin Methodist Church in Cumberland and most recently she attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Piedmont, WV. Patty spent many hours volunteering her time with the Arthritis Foundation and Moran Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was once a Commissioner for the Housing Authority of Allegany County. Patty was a member of the Church Women of the Tri-Towns, as well as the Sacred Heart Hospice Program. Patty enjoyed attending the Westernport Senior Center.

Patty is survived by her children, Susan Robinson and husband, David of Kentucky, Mark Steckman and wife, Brenda of Colorado and Lance Steckman and wife, Jennifer of Westernport. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amber Foster, Nikki Lewis, Kayleigh Steckman, Nick Steckman, Sara Emerick, Cody Steckman, Delaney Steckman, Morgan Steckman; six great grandchildren; and many special friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Wednesday, November 17th from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, November 18th at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Marybeth Chien officiating.

Interment will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone.
