Buddy won many medals from the Special Olympics, and many trophies for bowling, which he truly enjoyed. Even at the age of 80, he went bowling every Monday. Buddy bowled a 151 and 156 at his last two games.

As his family grew, Buddy whole heartedly welcomed his nieces and nephew. He was proud of each of their accomplishments and was very happy when they had children of their own.
