Norma Jean “Sheeny” Clay, 79, of Piedmont, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

Born April 14, 1938 in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Laura (Price) Clay.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Paul, Luther and Russell Clay, a niece, Cindy Stradwick, two sisters-in-law, Barbara Clay, Deanna Clay, and a brother-in-law, Arnold Redman.

Ms. Clay was a member of the First Church of God in Christ, Piedmont.

She leaves behind three sisters, Frances Clay and Gloria Christine Clay, both of Piedmont, Ruth Redman of Keyser, and a brother, Victor E. Clay and wife Sherrie of Piedmont.  She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Sue Clay, special friends (cousin), Virgie Redman, Dorothy Gardner, Rosalie Twyman and Edith Jackson and many nieces and nephews.

Norma will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, brother, sister-in-law, and her sisters.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Friday, August 18th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, on Saturday, August 19th at 1:00 PM, with Bishop Henderson Wheeler officiating.

Interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
