Nancy Jane Leatherman

Barton, Maryland

Nancy Jane Leatherman, 70, of Barton passed away on October 17, 2023 and is now together again with her daughter, Tonya.

Born February 10, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Martha (Hott) Leatherman. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Tonya Fazenbaker; and sisters, Bonnie Unger and Sandra Thomas.

Nancy retired from the school board as head custodian at George’s Creek Elementary. She really enjoyed all of the kids there over the years. Nancy loved to go camping with her friends, and she also enjoyed time spent at family reunions.

Nancy is survived by her grandson, Cameron Dixon; son, Bernard Michael Fazenbaker and wife Pattie; granddaughter, Alissa Fazenbaker; and siblings, Norman Leatherman and wife Dorothy, Barbara Kennedy, and Harold Leatherman and wife Cecilia. Nancy is survived by special nieces and camping buddies, Tracey Winn and husband Joe, Debbie Kidwell, and Melissa Knapp and husband Carey; a special nephew, John Thomas; along with several other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a good friend Tori Lannon; and her dog, Jasper.

Friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton on Friday, October 20^th from 2 to 4 p.m.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m.
