Myrtle Lucille Duckworth, 82, of Moran Manor Nursing Center, Westernport, formerly of Main St, Westernport, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at the nursing center.
Born September 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Ollie M. (Somerville) Wilt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Duckworth Sr., a grandson, Jeffrey Wilson, a brother, Thomas Wilt and a sister, Pauline Russell.
Mrs. Duckworth was a member of Bloomington Methodist Church. She retired from the dietary department of Moran Manor Nursing Center.
She was a devoted and caring mother and grandmother as she leaves behind two sons, Carl Duckworth Jr. and wife Jeannie of Westernport, Mike Duckworth and wife Editha of Keyser, WV, one daughter, Lucy Duckworth of Virginia, two sisters, Mabel Mason and Gladys Wilt. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Harriett Duckworth, Cara Banner and husband Jeff, Chip Wilson, Michael Duckworth and wife Julianne, Cassie Miller, Levi Duckworth, and Joed Duckworth, ten great grandchildren, Emma Banner, Kelsey Wilson, Cannan, Corbyn, Caleb and Riley Duckworth, Elias Bryant, Reese Aldridge, Joshua and Carly Miller.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Gary Rankin officiating.
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
