Mildred Carpenter

Mildred “Ruth” Carpenter went through the gates of Heaven on February 21, 2019.

She had recently celebrated her 94th birthday on January 10th. She was born in Barnum, WV to the late Sybilla Farris and Mittie (Bibey) Farris in 1925. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Carpenter. Ruth was one of 8 children and is survived by one sister, Marian Farris Pritts of Keyser, WV.

Ruth leaves behind a loving family of three children, Kathy Carpenter Brown and husband, Gary of Westernport, Rick Carpenter and wife, Alice of Charlottesville, VA and Cindy Carpenter Watson and husband, Mike of Granite, OR. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Kary Brown Alt and husband, Darrell of Frederick, Michael Watson of Baker, OR, Amy Watson and Patrick Dannon of Baker, OR, Sydney Carpenter of Richmond, VA; and five great grandchildren, Maelyn, Katy Beth, Kaitlyn, Emily and Michael.

A memorial service honoring Ruth will be held at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Saturday, March 16th at 11:00 am.
