May Williams, 89, of Moran Manor Nursing and Rehab Center, Westernport, and formerly of Backbone Mountain, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the nursing center.

Born May 2, 1927 in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late James and Eliza (Hughes) Middleton.  She was also preceded in death by three sisters, one brother, and a great grandson, Jeremiah Liller.

May was a member of First Baptist Church, Westernport, since 1953.  She was very active in the church having been a Sunday school teacher, church secretary, played piano and sang in the choir, and was the Bible school director for many years.  She also helped with the former Bruce High School band parents association.

She leaves behind her children, Rev. Earl Williams and wife Jeri of New Creek, WV, Dr. Ronel Williams and wife Sally of Swanton, Laurie Keplinger and husband Clifford of Elk Garden, WV, her grandchildren, Daniel Williams, Marie Liller, Sarah Kalbaugh, Matthew Williams, Adam Keplinger, Angela Lewis and Andrew Keplinger.  She is also survived her great grandchildren, Brandon Liller, Michala Williams, Audrey Williams, Isaac Kalbaugh, Eli Kalbaugh, August Williams, Briley Keplinger and Dustin Keplinger, three step grandchildren, Bruce Johnson, Tim Johnson, Karis Brafford, and fourteen step great grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at First Baptist Church, Westernport, on Wednesday at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Earl Williams officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Fund.
