Mary Grace (Di Gioia) Vincent, formerly of Luke, died on November 15, 2013 at the Aspenwood Senior Living Center, Silver Spring. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Chester H. Vincent; her parents Julius and Maria Louisa Di Gioia; a sister Josephine Marie; a brother-in-law Joseph; a sister-in-law Barbara; and an infant brother Pantaleo.
She is survived by her sister, Sr. Marie Gregory; brothers, Leo (Joan), Peter, and Anthony (Dorthy); and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Grace was born in Piedmont, W.Va on September 6, 1924. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Luke, Maryland. She attended St. Peter Catholic elementary and high schools. After graduation, she was employed by Westvaco in the chemistry lab, later moving to Washington, D.C. to accept a position with the CIA, where she met and married her husband. After serving abroad, they returned to the United States and settled in Bethesda, Maryland. They continued to travel extensively. Mary Grace enjoyed art, sewing, languages, music and golf. She and her husband were members of Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, Kensington, Maryland.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 6 pm to 8 pm. There will be a Christian Wake service at the funeral home at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Westernport, Maryland on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11:00 am, with Father Greg Brown as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery along with her husband and parents.
