Mary Magdalene Rawlings, 87, of Bloomington, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Moran Manor Nursing Center, Westernport, where she had been a resident.
Born on March 4, 1925 in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Susan (Bittinger) Rawlings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Orvel R. Rawlings, an infant sister, Lola Helen Rawlings, and brother, Oberlin E. Rawlings.
Mary was a member of the Bloomington United Methodist Church, and had been employed as a home care giver for several years.
She leaves behind her sisters, Roberta Reeves and husband George of Swanton, Donna Maye Seaton of Walkersville, and Doris Faye Walker and husband Joe of Florida. She is also survived by a special niece, Roberta “Bunny” Rawlings of Webb, AL, who Mary helped to raise, and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and three great-great nieces.
At Mary’s request, she was cremated.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
