Mary Miller Sowers

Mary Katherine (Watson) Miller Sowers, 86 of Keyser passed away on December 31, 2022.

Born March 2, 1936 at Parcoal, WV, she was the daughter of the late Madison and Mary (Newhouse) Watson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bernard “Bum” Sowers; the father of her children, James “Coffee” Miller; son, Paul Thomas Miller in 1964; and brother, Gary Watson.

Mary K. was a 1954 graduate of Piedmont High School. When her children were growing up she was active in the PTA. She was involved with the Tri-Towns Rescue Squad in her younger years. Mary K. was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Keyser. She was very proud of the temple work that she and her late husband were involved with at the Washington D.C. Temple.

Mary K. is survived by her children, Linda Salesky and husband Charlie, Peanut Miller and wife Cindy, Kenny Miller and wife Denese, Sue Ann Miller and companion Paul Bunner; step-son, Gary Sowers;her brothers, Fred “Bunny” Watson and wife Susie and Francis “Skippy” Watson and wife Ann. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh, Stacie, Josiah, Jared, Brandon, Mikey and Jessi; and her great grandchildren, Anthony, Zach, Ryan, Aiden, Westleigh, Sam and Leah.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Wednesday, January 4th from 5 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, January 5th at 1:00 p.m. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Entombment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
