Mary Kady

Piedmont, WV

Mrs. Mary Lou Kady, 77 of 115 E. Hampshire St.,Piedmont, WV, died April 15 2013 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.

Born in Piedmont April 13, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Charles P. and Mary E. (Harrison) Hood. She was also preceded in death by her husband Bernard F. Kady on February 21, 1988 and two brothers, William "Bill" Hood and Robert Scott Hood.

Mrs. Kady was a 1954 graduate of Piedmont High School. She was formerly employed as a telephone operator for the C&P Telephone Company, Piedmont; the Piedmont Herald and Jake's Market, Westernport, Md., She was also a Respite Provider for her granddaughter, Alana Coleman.
She was protestant by faith. Her favorite pastime was sitting on the porch with Alana and listening to Alana humming to Alan Jackson music.

She is survived by two sons, Scott F. Kady, Piedmont and William "Bill" Kady and wife, Kay, Piedmont; two daughters, Patti S. Coleman and husband, Paul and Cindy L. Miller and husband, James "Peanut", both of Piedmont; one brother, C. Edward Hood, Huntington, WV; two sisters, Flora May Cook and husband, Paul, Dowling Park, Fla. and Nancy Moore and husband, Charles, Leesburg, Fla;  10 grandchildern, Amber Coleman, Morgantown and Amy, Alyson and Alana Coleman, Piedmont; Marc Coleman and Kelly Bennett, both of Piedmont; Nikki Diehl, Ashburn, Va; Nanny Lucas South Carolina ; Josh Miller, Galipolis, Ohio; Josiah Miller, Piedmont and Jared Miller, Piedmont; 25 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11:00 AM, with Pastor William Kady and Rev. C. Edward Hood officiating.

Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport, MD.
