Marshall E. "Cappy" Wilson, Jr., 76 of Mountain Lake Park and formerly of Westernport, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 5, 2025.
Born on June 5, 1949 in Keyser, he was the son of the late Marshall E. Wilson, Sr. and Jessie (Poland) Wilson, both of Westernport. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Caleb Wilson.
Cappy was a 1967 graduate of Bruce High School. He was a United States Army veteran, proudly serving during the Vietnam era. Cappy was a member of the American Legion Victory Post #155, the Hiram Lodge #103 A.F. & A.M., the Cumberland Scottish Rite, and the Ali Ghan Shrine where he was a member of the Past Masters Unit.
Cappy leaves behind his faithful and loving companion, Rebekah Howell, of Mountain Lake Park; his lovingdaughter, Kimberly Dawn Wilson of Winchester, VA; a son, Marshall "Chip" Wilson III of Oakland; his grandsons, who were his pride and joy, Ryan Lonas and Joshua Lonas, both of Winchester, VA; and a granddaughter, Kelsey Wilson.
Friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, MD on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As per Cappy's request, a private graveside burial will take place at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindy requests that donations be made to your local Fire/EMS departments, and the Hospice of Garrett County, Oakland.
