Margaret Peebles

Margaret Ann “Maggie” Peebles, 75, of Westernport passed away on April 24, 2023.


Born September 12, 1947 at Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Willard Miller and Anna (Trenum) Miller Bishop. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Louemma Jane and Viola Whetzel; niece, Robin Smith; and her first husband, Robert Watson. 


Maggie was a 50 year member of the Redman Blackhawk Tribe and was also once a bartender at the club. She was a member of the Piedmont Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Maggie was a supporter of St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital and the Shriners Children’s Hospital.


Maggie is survived by her daughters, Faye Baker and husband James of Westernport, Judy Connor and husband Joe of Rawlings, and Debra Vincent and companion Roger Green of Westernport. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda Douglass and husband Logan, Charles Shugars III and wife April, Travis Shugars and wife Ashley, Eden Shugars, Vanessa Moore and husband Allen, Glenn Vincent and companion Janelle, Christina Vincent and companion David, Robert Vincent and companion Cera; great grandchildren, Jayden, Xander, Kash, Ezekiel, Hudson, Caleb, Trinity, Jessie and Raiden. Maggie is also survived by her siblings, Emily Weir and husband Kevin, Michael Miller, James Miller, Richard Miller, Mable Miller, Patsy Allamong and husband Bob, Elaine Madison and companion Donnie Elliott, Ray Miller, Phyllis Bishop and husband Kevin, Walter Bishop and wife Tena and Mary Bishop and companion Roger Northcraft; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. 


Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Friday, April 28th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 


A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Cowan officiating. 


Interment will be at Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington, Maryland. 


Maggie’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Pastor David Cowan for watching and praying over their Mom, and to everyone who sat and cared for Maggie when it was needed most. Also, a special thank you to the “Pivot man” and Maggie’s brother, Walter, who was always there for his sister and whatever she needed. May God bless you all.
