Lloyd Mason

Lloyd Eugene Mason, 68, of Rt. 3, Keyser, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD.

Born May 26, 1945 in Cross, WV, he was the son of the late Dallas Eugene and Nora Thelma (Wilson) Mason.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Hamilton, two infant siblings, Linda and Luther Mason, and a brother, Dallas W. Mason.

Mr. Mason was a United States Naval Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.  He was retired from the United States Postal Service as a clerk, having worked most of his years in the Cumberland, MD office.

He leaves behind his wife, Virginia (Shillingburg) Mason, a daughter, Paula Ferguson and husband Terry of Belleview, FL, a son, Gary Mason and wife Dana of Accident, MD, two sisters, Norma Cayton of Keyser, WV and Betty Tichnell of Swanton, MD.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tiffany and Patricia Whittaker, and Logan and Kolten Mason.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Jonathan Moon officiating.

Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
