Linda Friend

Linda Boal Friend, 70 of Bloomington, passed away Friday December 9, 2011, at home surrounded by her family.

Born May 23, 1941 in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Elsie (Dawson) Boal.  A sister, Mildred Jones, also preceded her in death.

Linda was a member of Bloomington United Methodist Church, a member of the Bloomington Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Bloomington Awareness Group.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Richard Friend, one daughter, Tammy Friend, both of Bloomington, and one adopted daughter, Susie Parsons and husband John of Keyser, WV, a sister, Hilary Flanagan of New Creek, WV, and sister Mary Parsons of Bloomington.  She is also survived by two grandchildren, Laura Miller and husband Craig of Martinsburg, WV, and John Parsons and wife Ashley of Keyser, WV, and two great grandchildren, Haylee Miller and Josh Parsons.

The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Gary Rankin officiating.

Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

Pallbearers will be John J. Parsons, John R. Parsons, Craig Miller, Jake Evans, Randy Fazenbaker and Randy Fazenbaker JR.
