Lillian Haggerty

Lillian Florance Haggerty, 87, of York, formerly of Westernport, MD, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Rest Haven, York.

Born October 3, 1930 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mae (Whittington) Taylor.  She was also preceded in death by her husband John Gene Haggerty, brother, Bernard Taylor Jr., and sisters, Louise Lee, Arbutus Burkett and Deloris Wright.

She was previously employed at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, WV as an x-ray technician for many years and was also a dental assistant and worked as a receptionist for a doctor. Lillian loved and enjoyed her family most of all.  She enjoyed making jewelry and was also known as Lipstick Lilly.  She brought joy and happiness to everyone she met.

She leaves behind a son, Johnnie Haggerty Sr. (Darlene), Hampstead, MD, daughters, Judy Lynn Miller (Harvey), Essex, MD, Diane Weber, Dillsburg, PA, Debbie Haggerty, Dundalk, MD, sister, Beverly Gordon, Westernport, MD, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Saturday from 10 AM to 12:30 PM.  A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation on Saturday at 12:30 PM.

Interment will be in Turner Cemetery, Walnut Bottom, at a later date.
