Leslie Aloysious Beckner

Leslie Aloysious "Al" Beckner, 44 of Westernport passed away on July 26, 2025.

Born in Cumberland, he was the son of Jeannette Miller and Michael Beckner. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Marion Miller and Raymond and Veronica Beckner. 

Al is survived by his parents, Jeannette Miller and Michael Beckner. He is also survived baby his brothers, Lewis Thomas, Jr. and wife Carol and Michael Knisley; his Aunt Gloria Miller who was like a second Mom; a friend that was like a sister, Marcie Foutz; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Al grew up in Westernport. Al enjoyed playing baseball. In little league while mending a broken arm, he hit a home run into the waste treatment plant in Westernport, this was a very proud moment for him. Al was adventurous and always on the go. In his later years, Al developed a close relationship with God. He talked with his Mom often about the Bible.  

Al's family is so grateful for all of the prayers and love shown toward him over the years during his chronic illness.

A service celebrating Al's life will take place at a later date.
