Leon Riley Kimble, 69, of Frosty Hollow Road, Moorefield, formerly of Piedmont, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at his residence.

Born December 18, 1945 at Keyser, he was the son of the late Leonard and Ruth (Kesner) Kimble.  He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, two brothers, and one sister.

Mr. Kimble was a United States Marine Corp. Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.  He was a heavy duty diesel mechanic, having worked for Warner Brothers.  Mr. Kimble was a member of Victory Post #155 American Legion, a member of Queens Point V.F.W. #6775, and a member of Blackhawk Tribe #131 Improved Order of Redmen.

He leaves behind one son, John Michael Kershner and wife Vicki of Moorefield, two daughters, Ruth Ann Kimble of Piedmont, Tanya Lynn Kimble of Keyser, a brother, Lynn Ray Kimble of Pennsylvania, and a sister, Lois Fink and husband Howard of Headsville.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Johnathon Kimble, Stephen Wise, Ryan Kimble, Billy Lupis, Ryan Kershner, Mickayla Kershner, Adreen Kershner, Riley Kershner, and four great grandchildren, Jamison Kimble, Kaiden Wilt, Cameron Keyes, and Madalyn Keyes.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday from 12 to 2 PM and 4 to 6 PM.  A funeral service will follow the visitation at 6:00 PM at the funeral home on Monday, with Rev. Jack Turner and Rev. Tammy Turner officiating.

Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by Vietnam Veterans Chapter #172.
