Lena Broadwater, 96, of Bloomington passed away on December 18, 2015 at Moran Manor Health Care Facility.
Born November 5, 1919 in Jennings, she was the only child of the late Lee and Mary Catherine Broadwater. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Broadwater in 1986.
Lena was a member of the Jennings United Methodist Church and a graduate of Grantsville High School. She worked for several years with the Department of Aging in Oakland, assisting the elderly of Bloomington and the surrounding area.
Lena is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Harvey of Bloomington; a grandson, William Harvey and wife Liza of Newport News of VA; and a granddaughter, Glynna Harbaugh and husband Shawn of Bloomington. She is also survived by her great grandchildren; Brent Harbaugh, Jason Harvey, Brittany Chojar, Daniel Harvey, Kathryn Harvey; and her great-great grandchildren, Kahlan Chojar, Kiya Chojar and Emma Harbaugh.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 2 to 5 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Grantsville Cemetery on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Jenna Moon officiating.
