Kenneth Paul “Kenny” Marple, 80, went Home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2019 at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Center with his loving wife, Patsy at his side.

Born April 8, 1939, he was the son of the late Melvin and Mary (Metcalfe) Marple. He was also preceded in death by his former wife, Sarah (Wise) Marple and his siblings, James Marple, Terry Marple, Vera Whisner and an infant sister, Kathleen Marple.

Kenny was a US Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam era. He lived most of his life serving the Lord. He was involved in many church activities, he was once a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent and a youth pastor. Kenny loved working with horses, he bred, raised and trained them. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting. Kenny had a large collection of knives and stines. Kenny was a very caring man, he and his former wife Sarah opened their home and welcomed anyone who was in need.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Patsy Marple of Oakland; his siblings, Doris Welch of Oakland, Joy Feaster of Keyser, WV, Maxine Shugars of Newcomerstown, OH, Leon Marple of Bloomington and Darlene Smiley of Swanton. Although Kenny did not have biological children, he was blessed with his wife Patsy’s children, Lisa McBride and husband Dave, Kenneth Little and wife, Niki, all of Newcomerstown, OH, Susie Nicely and husband, Don and Casey Little and wife, Telia, all of Vero Beach, FL. Kenny is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 1 pm to 3 pm. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00pm with Pastor Milton Morris officiating.

Interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
