Kathleen Berry

Kathleen “Kathy” Berry, 80, of Terra Alta, West Virginia, passed away on May 2, 2026, after a short illness.

She was born on May 23, 1945, in Lakewood, Ohio, to Paul and Mary Kirrkamm.

Kathy graduated from Strayer Business School and spent her career as an executive administrative assistant, where she was known for her dedication, organization, and professionalism.

Outside of her work, Kathy was an avid bowler, enjoying many years in leagues in Oakland, Maryland, and Keyser, West Virginia. She also had a deep love for cooking and was the person family and friends turned to for that special recipe, always bringing people together around the table.

Kathy was best known for her deep love for her grandsons, Mason and Dawson. She cherished caring for them and took great joy in watching them on the baseball field and at swim meets.

Kathy will be remembered for her warmth, her talents, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. She will always be cherished as an amazing wife, mom, Mimi, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Sam Berry; her daughter, Beth Walter, and son-in-law, Drew Walter; her grandsons, Mason and Dawson; her sisters, Kris Iskow (Dave Iskow) and Linda Lane (Randy Lane); her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Debbie Townsend; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Kirrkamm, and her sister, Paula Townsend.

The family has planned a Celebration of Life on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The celebration will be held at the Alpine Lake Boathouse, 1508 W. Alpine Dr., Terra Alta, WV 26764.
