June Louise Ryan, 93, of Maryland Ave, Westernport, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.
Born June 21, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Anna Lee (Pagenhart) Whitworth. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ira Emmett Ryan, a sister, Betty Lee Robinson, and two brothers, Donald and Fuller Whitworth.
June was a 1942 graduate of Bruce High School and a graduate of Catherman’s Business School. She was a life-long member of St. James Episcopal Church, Westernport, and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was also an active participant in the “Spa Ladies” swim and exercise team at Life Fitness Center, Keyser, WV.
She leaves behind a son, David Ryan and son-in-law, John Lane of Gerradstown, WV.
At June’s request she was cremated.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Saturday November 11, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM.
A memorial service will immediately follow the gathering at 4:00 PM, with Rev. Garrett Carskadon and Rev. John Martin officiating.
Inurnment will be in Philos Cemetery the following day.
