John David Springer

John David “Dave” Springer, 80, formerly of Westernport, passed away on November 17, 2023.

Born on September, 19, 1943, in Westernport, he was the son of John and Norma (Wells) Springer who predeceased him.

Dave lived in Rockville, Maryland, and worked for various agencies of the Federal Government for 35 years. He retired in 1999, and returned to Westernport. After his retirement, he worked part-time at the Lifetime Fitness Club in Keyser and arranged many trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

Dave is survived by several cousins, including a special cousin, Judith Stakem McGowan.  He will be missed by many friends and was a friend to animals.
