John James Pattison, 91, of Donna St, Westernport, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing, where he had recently been a resident.

Born November 14, 1925 in Westernport, he was the son of the late William Henry and Olive Geraldine (Moore) Pattison.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Louise (Laupert) Pattison, two sons, John James Pattison Jr. and John Joseph Pattison, a brother, Billy Pattison and a granddaughter, Wendy Machin.

Mr. Pattison was a United States Naval Veteran, having served from 1944 to 1946.  He retired from Westvaco Corp, with 45 years of employment.  John was a member of Church of Ladder Day Saints, a member and Past Master of Hiram Lodge #103 AF & AM, a member of Victory Post American Legion #155, a member of the Veterans of Foreign War, a member of the Keyser Flying Club and a member of Ali Ghan Shrine.

He leaves behind two daughters, Carol Louise Machin (Gary) of Rawlings, Patty McVicker (Bob) of Barton, two sons, Robert Charles Pattison (Becky) of Yuma, AZ, and Ned Pattison (Penny) of Warsaw, VA.  He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday, September 28th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.  Hiram Lodge will hold a memorial service on Thursday at 6:30 PM.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, September 29th at 11:00 AM, with Bishop Warner officiating.

Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Shriner’s Children Hospital.
