John Roland Mummert, 79, of Rainbow Lane, Moscow, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born May 7, 1938 in Barton, he was the son of the late Roland Victor Mummert and the late Dorothy (Green) Mummert Taylor.
Mr. Mummert was a graduate of Valley High School and Frostburg State University. In his earlier years he was a school teacher, but eventually retired from Springfield State Hospital as a physical therapist.
He leaves behind two brothers, Robert Taylor of Frostburg, Eddie Taylor of LaVale, and two sisters, Dorothy Warnick of Moscow and Vickie Harvey of Barton.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Friday, January 19th from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation on Friday at 8:00 PM, with Pastor Sandy Cowan officiating.
Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills at a later date.
