John Daniel Michaels Sr., 62, of Lower Georges Creek Road, Lonaconing, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at his residence.

Born November 28, 1955, he was the son of the late James and Rachel (Beeman) Michaels.  He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Elijah, Donald and David Michaels, and a granddaughter, Shandi Kesner.

John was a member of Frostburg Farrady Post #24 American Legion, and the Midland Sportsman Club.

He leaves behind his companion, Mary Lou Coleman, three children, John Michaels and fiance’ Lori O’Haver, Julie Davis, Joey Michaels, and a step-son, Pete Colmer. He is also survived by a brother, James Michaels and wife Nancy, two sisters, Rachel Lewis and husband John, and Becky Michaels, two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Michaels, and Faye Michaels, grandchildren, Johnathan, Jada, Julian, Emily, Hunter, Dalton, Beth and Danielle, and many nieces and nephews.

At John’s request he was cremated.  A memorial service will be conducted at the New Life Church, Frostburg, on Thursday, May 10th at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Martin Lease officiating.

Friends and family will be received at the church one hour prior to services.
