John Hillus Lease

John Hillus Lease, 87, of Hagerstown and formerly of McCoole passed away on September 21, 2023 at Doey’s House hospice facility in Hagerstown.

Born March 31, 1936, he was the son of late James and Pansy (Duckworth) Lease. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Lease, Dale Lease and Joseph Lease.

John was a graduate of Bruce High School. He worked and retired from Westvaco. John was a member of the Keyser Assembly of God Church, he enjoyed the fellowship with his church family.  John enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

John is survived by his wife, Pauline (Bennett) Lease: children Danny Kitzmiller and wife Anne and Kimberly Ack and husband Todd. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Heather Wilson and husband Billy, Cassie Ack and Austin, and Rebecca Ack; and a great granddaughter, Parker. John is survived by his sister June Ketterman; brothers, Gerald Lease and wife Debbie, Marvin Lease and wife Mae; and sister-in-law, Linda Lease, several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Monday, September 25^th from 11 a.m. to 1p.m.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00p.m. with Rev. Brian Smith officiating.

Interment will be at Sinclair Memorial Park.
