John Edward Barnett Sr., 63, of Keyser, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born February 2, 1952 in Huntington, he was the son of the late Frank Leonard and Laura Elizabeth (Church) Barnett.
John was an adventurous, fun loving man. He was a kind and generous person that was there to help in any way. John loved his grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his son, John Barnett Jr. of Short Gap, three grandchildren, John Barnett, Maceala Barnett and Pierce Barnett, all of Short Gap. He is also survived by his siblings, Jacqueline Maynard of Ashton, Carol Amtower of Antioch, Roger Barnett of Huntington, Sharon Langdon of Ashton, and Frank Barnett Jr. of Milton. John is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; his best friend, Carl Arnold of McCoole, MD; and a special friend, Christy Timney of Keyser.
At Mr. Barnett’s request, he was cremated.
There will be no visitation or services.
