Joanna Veronica (Rebar) Bever, 77, of Bloomington, passed away April 8, 2013.

Born on July 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Tony Rebar and Mary Ellen (Flynn) Rebar. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Milton Bever, on March 9, 2013; a daughter, Lucinda Kay (Bever) Suite; brothers, Freddie Rebar and Stanley "Joe" Rebar, brother-in-law, Robert L. Paugh Sr. and mother-in-law Nellie M. "Snookie" Bever.

Joanne was a graduate of Piedmont High School. SHe was a long standing member of Bloomington Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Moran Manor Auxiliary. Joanne retired from Westvaco after 42 years, having been a paper tester in the control lab.

Methodist by faith, Joanne was an active memeber of Bloomington United Methodist Church.

Affectionately known to most as "Ginny", she loved spending her time supporting and watching her grandchildren, as well as their friends, playing sports and participating in all of their functions. She rarely missed any of their games. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a huge fan of the celebrated holidays with her family. "Ginny" never drove past a yard sale and would always find "something for someone." She enjoyed spending her summers at the lake or at the river with her family and friends.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves behine her son, Daniel F. Bever and wife Kathy, Swanton; her daughter, Amanda R. (Bever) Windle of Bloomington; grandchildren, Shari R. (Bever) Forney and husband Greg, Swanton, Kristine Y. Bever and Jon Dowden of Bloomington, Scott M. Windle and wife Christen of Westernport, Daniel J. Windle of Bloomington, Laura A. Windle and Robert Cummings of Bloomington and Corey (Suite) Mayhew and husband Josh of Westernport; numerous great grandchildren, with two due in september; brothers, Robert Rebar of Oceanside, CA, James Rebar of Goose Creek, SC; a very special sister, Josephine (Rebar) Paugh of Keyser, WV. Josephine spent a lot of time with Joanne; they shared a very special bond. A special niece, Dianna Harvey and husband Mark of Keyser, WV, a special friend, Brenda Lee of Swanton; and numerous other family members.

At Joannes request, he body has beeen cremated.

Family and friends will be received at a Celebration of Joanne's Life gathering at Boal Funeral Home in Westernport, on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 3 to 6 PM. Bloomington Ladies Auxillary and Bloomington UM Church will hold memorial services, beginning at 5 PM.
