Joan Diaz

Joan Elizabeth Diaz, 52, of Westernport Road, Westernport, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

Born May 10, 1964 at Newport News, VA, she was the daughter of Patricia Ann (Brickhill) Galbraith and the late Robert Harold Galbraith.

Joan graduated from Allegany County Career Center as a GNA.  She most recently worked for the Allegany County School Board as a bus driver.  She was full of life and loved spending time at Virginia Beach, VA.

Joan was a loving wife and mother as she leaves behind her husband, Mike Diaz, where as she was Mike’s rock for 30 years, children, Jennifer Droppleman and husband Mike, Desiree Diaz, and Leiana Diaz, brothers and sisters, Dan Galbraith and wife Kathy, Mike Galbraith and wife Sue, Brenda Coleman, Dawn Beckner, Glen Galbraith, Brian Galbraith and wife Tina and Ann Nielson, her brothers-in-laws, Ken Diaz and wife Karla and David Diaz.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday, September 9th from 4 PM to 6 PM.

A celebration of Joan’s life will be held on Friday, September 9th after the visitation at the home of Brenda Coleman, Key St, Keyser, WV.
