Jennifer Lynn Raines

Jennifer Lynn Raines, 69, of Westernport, Maryland, passed away peacefully at her home. Born on December 17, 1955, Jennifer lived her life in Westernport, where she built a home filled with warmth, love, and creativity.

She was the devoted wife of the late Harold Thomas Raines and the loving mother of two daughters, Tommelynn Raines and Sarah Raines. She is also survived by her siblings, Harriet Russo, Janet Chanilall, and Mark Dawson.

Jennifer was a gentle, kind-hearted woman whose quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She worked hard throughout her life as a house cleaner — self-employed for many years, including caring for St. Peter’s Church, before later joining the staff at Microtel. Outside of work, she found joy in crafting, painting, quilting, gardening, and spending peaceful moments watching her favorite shows.

A creative spirit at heart, Jennifer had a deep appreciation for beauty in all forms. In her younger years, she cared for horses and carried that love for them throughout her life. Her compassion, humor, and authenticity made her someone people felt at ease with.

In keeping with Jennifer’s wishes, there will be no formal service or burial. Her family asks that those who knew her honor her memory by sharing kindness with others and finding joy in the simple things she loved so much.
