Jason Craig Johnson, 34, of Henderson Ave, Cumberland, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at his residence due to complications from a recent surgery.

Born April 2, 1982 in Cumberland, he was the son of Cynthia Broadwater of Cumberland and Steven Johnson and Kim Skidmore of Westernport.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marguerite and Tommy Footen and Allen Broadwater, and a niece Alyvia Albright.

Jason attended Westmar High School.  He was a construction worker and a jack of all trades.

In addition to his parents, Cynthia, Steven and Kim, he leaves behind two brothers, Steven Wayne Johnson and fiancé Amber Riggleman of Cumberland, Nicholas Broadwater of Loysburg, PA, five sisters, Latesha Durst and husband Tony of Grantsville, Holli Johnson of Petersburg, WV, Jennifer Broadwater of Morgantown, WV, Tifenie Broadwater of Cumberland, and Ashley Johnson of Westernport.  He is also survived by his girlfriend, Misty Helsley of Greenspring, WV, and his grandmother, Ruby Broadwater of Westernport.  Jason was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and a great friend to everyone who knew him.  Jason will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday September 7th from 7 to 9 PM and Thursday September 8th from 12 to 1 PM.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, September 8th at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Gary Morris officiating.
