Janet Preston

Janet Marlene Preston, 79 of Barton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 17, 2019 at Egle Nursing and Rehab.

Born August 17, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Twita Mae (DeShong) Brashear Ross.

Janet was a 1958 graduate of Valley High School. For many years of her life she attended the Mill Run Grace Brethren Church. Janet raised her boys and her family was her whole life.

Janet is survived by her husband, Dale E. Preston; her sons, Carey Preston and wife, Brenda and Lonnie Preston and wife, Kim. She is also survived by her siblings, Roger Brashear and wife, Carol and Marian Shaffer and husband, Bernie. Janet is survived by her grandchildren, Sarah Morgan and husband, Terry, Corey Preston and wife, Sara, Nick Preston and wife, Emily, Ben Preston and wife, Taylor; and her great grandchildren, Chase, Laken, and Ace Preston.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton on Thursday, December 19th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 20th at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Shaft United Methodist Church.
