James "Jim" Bever

James Milton “Jim” Bever, 77, of Bloomington passed away on March 8, 2013 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.

Born on June 28, 1935 he was the son of the late Daniel Liard Bever and Nellie Marie (Jose) Bever.  He is also preceded in death by a brother Daniel Lewis Bever and a daughter Lucinda K. Suite.

Jim was a graduate of Piedmont High School.  He was a United States Army Veteran and he was also a past Chief of the Bloomington Volunteer Fire Company. Jim retired from Westvaco after 44 years, having been a filter plant operator for the last 27 years of his employment. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending summers at Deep Creek Lake and over on the river with his family and friends.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather as he leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Joanna V. (Rebar) Bever, Bloomington; a son Daniel Frederick Bever and wife Kathy, Swanton and a daughter Amanda Rae Windle, Bloomington. Jim was “Pap” and “Pa-paw” to numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

At Jim’s request his body has been cremated.

Family and friends will be received at a Celebration of Jim’s Life gathering at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 3 to 6 PM.

The family would like to sincerely thank Jim’s caregivers for all of their care and compassion during his time of need.
