James Edward Miller

James Edward Miller, 88, of Westernport passed away on August 19, 2024.

Born May 8, 1936, he was the son of the late Elmer and Ethel (Shugars) Miller. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Miller and son, James Arlen Miller. 

James is survived by his children, Barbara Echols of Illinois, Bill Miller, Florida, Lisa Phillips and husband Sam of Pennsylvania, Terry Miller and Kristi of New Jersey. James is survived by his sister, Betty Armstrong; and brother, Dick Miller and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Charity, Seth, Chandler, Madeline, Cameron, Brittany, Macey, Samuel, Joey, Kierstin; and five great grandchildren. 

James was a veteran of the US Army and retired from CSX where he was a Brakeman. He was a member of the Church of God and later attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved cutting grass, watching Jimmy Swaggert and visiting friends. Jim never met a stranger and knew everyone he passed. 

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
