James Clark

James Edward “Jim” Clark, Sr., 84 of Barton, passed away on November 14, 2018 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, surrounded by the love and comfort of family.

Born August 7, 1934, he was the son of the late Archie W. and Kathleen (Monahan) Clark. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Clark and Francis Clark.

Jim was a devoted husband, father and Pap. He had a love for all animals and plants. His passion was farming, his cows and his horse, Nightshade. He retired from Westvaco, having worked in the maintenance department for over 45 years, seldomly missing a day of work.

Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia (Corle) Clark of Barton; his children, James E. Clark, Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Frostburg, Debbie Bittinger and her husband, Jay of Grantsville and Terri Schurg and her husband, Carl of Frederick. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jamie Harris and her husband, Mark, Kelly Lysinger and her husband, Brett, Tracey Clark and her husband, Andrew, Brittany Fazenbaker and her fiancé, Jacob Howe, Matthew Schurg and his wife, Hayley, Morgan Trumbule and her husband, Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Maddison, Ryan, Jaxson, Camilla, Chase and Caroline.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton on Friday, November 16th from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 17th at 11:00 am with Pastor Sandy Cowan officiating.
