James Joseph “Jim” Beeman, 67, of Barton passed away November 9, 2017 at his home.

Born on June 29, 1950, he was the son of Wilma Jean (McGee) Beeman of Barton and the late Joseph Junior Beeman. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Beeman, his nephew, Jamie Beeman, his father-in-law, Richard Symons and his mother-in-law, Mary Symons.

Jim was a 1968 graduate of Valley High School. He was the owner of Jim Beeman’s Body Shop, for 35 years. He loved to repair cars, he was in the business for 50 years. Jim enjoyed going on motorcycle rides, he was a Honda man. He enjoyed music and singing, he sang in the church and at nursing homes. Jim always had so many stories to tell, he was told often that he should write a book. Jim liked to go caving, he took his family on cave adventures. Jim was known by many, loved by many and he and his unforgettable laugh will be greatly missed.

Along with his mother Wilma, he is also survived by his wife of 48 ½ years, Alice (Symons) Beeman of Barton; his daughter, Jessica Beeman and companion Derek Quade, and her son, Jay Cadwallader, and his daughter, Crystal Galbraith and her daughter, Emma Galbraith, all of Barton. Jim is also survived by his siblings, Joseph Beeman and wife, Veva of Fort Ashby, WV, Wilma Crider and husband, Scott of Redick, FL, John Beeman and wife, Kim of Barton; his brother-in-law, Richard Symons and wife, Kay of North Dakota; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton on Tuesday, November 14th from 3 to 7 pm.  A funeral service will be conducted following the visitation at 7:00 pm with the Rev. George Loar officiating.
