Irvin Wahl

Barton, MD

Irvin Joseph Wahl, 82 of Barton and most recently of Piedmont, WV passed away on November 4, 2018.

Born August 3, 1936, he was the son of the late Hilary and Rose (Kirchner) Wahl. His wife Mary Jane (Ross) Wahl also preceded him in death.

Irvin loved to go hunting and fishing. He worked at Clinebell’s Bakery in LaVale for almost 40 years. He also worked at the landfill in Frostburg. Irvin loved to portray Santa Clause at his family’s Christmas parties.

He is survived by his children, Irvin Wahl and wife, Diana of Martinsburg, WV, Autumn Cosner and husband, Joshua of Barton, Carol Crawford and husband, Buddy, Judy Musgrove and husband, Charles and Tina Crosten and husband, James, all of Cumberland. He is survived by his brother, John Deneen of Everett, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Wahl, Elianna Wahl, Malachi Wahl, Chloe Cosner, Kasie Cosner, Stephanie Roy, Jessica Musgrove, Jennie Crosten, Matthew Musgrove, Jeff Wahl, Jason Crosten, James Crosten, II; his ten great grandchildren; his three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Walter Lancaster officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service from 12-1pm.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
