Harry Allen Walker, Sr., 72, of Rawlings passed away on December 13, 2021 at the Winchester Medical Center.

Born July 23, 1949, he was the son of the late Clyde Walker and Ada (Miller) Walker Iser and Red Iser. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Ginny Staggs and James Walker; father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Ruth Miller, brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Sue Miller; sister-in-law, Margie Smith; a grandson, Jakob Walker; and nephew, Justin Keller.

Harry was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Westernport American Legion, and was a Lifetime Member of the Queen’s Point McCoole VFW. Harry was a hard worker and worked his whole life. He was once employed with the Island Creek Coal Company and Masteller Coal Company as a coal miner and heavy equipment operator. He also worked for the City of Keyser, and he retired from the Shockey Companies of Winchester, VA as a heavy equipment operator.

Harry always took care of his wife and his family. No matter the difficulty of any task, the job was always completed. He loved children and his family, his family loved him dearly and he will be missed.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gloria (Miller) Walker; and his children, Harry Walker, Jr. and girlfriend, Maria of Keyser, WV, Christopher Walker of Rawlings, Faith Barnes and husband, John of Chambersburg, PA, and Tristen Walker and girlfriend Breea at home. Harry is also survived by his siblings, Dan Walker and wife, Darlene of Burlington, WV, Carol Thompson and husband, Carl of Burlington, WV, and Bill Walker and wife Debbie of Keyser, WV; his grandchildren, Tyler Welch, Kaitlyn Barnes, Hayden Walker, Maykayla Barnes, David Butts, Lucas Walker; and great granddaughter, Raegan Welch. Harry is survived by four young ladies that he adored and stole his heart, his great niece, Dustlyn Rebar, Mady Parsons, Leah Kolberg and Mya Kolberg; his longtime best friends, Gary Aronhalt, Doug George and Bob Lipscomb; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and James Keller; brother-in-law, Harold Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Thursday, December 16th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 17th at the Dawson United Methodist Church in Rawlings at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone with military honors accorded by the Post 13 Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
