Harry James "Jim" Kight

Harry James "Jim" Kight, 76 of Clarksburg, WV and formerly of Westernport passed away at his residence on June 26, 2026.

Born October 6, 1949, he was the son of the late Harry Michael Kight and Anna Esther (Bower) Kight. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Tucker) Kight; and his brother, Bobby Kight.

Jim was a graduate of Piedmont High School. He was a proud United States Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a police office for the Town of Westernport and then briefly for the Town of Luke. Jim retired and relocated to Clarksburg, WV with his wife, Doris. 

Jim is survived by his sons, Christopher Kight and wife, Joanna, Matthew Kight and wife, Katie, and Joshua Kight. Jim is survived by his grandchildren, Cody, Caylin, Carter, and Georgia Kight, Dade and Aiden Kight; and his great-grandson, Sawyer Kight. Jim is survived by his sisters, Peggy Maynard and Cathy Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, Jim will be cremated and be buried at the Maryland Veteran's Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone.
