Harry Haggerty, 83, of Keyser passed away at his residence on February 11, 2021, with his loving wife and family by his side.
Born February 8, 1938, he was the son of the late, Amby and Mae Elizabeth (Kidwell) Haggerty. Harry is also preceded in death by his brother, Robert and sister, Onie.
Harry was a graduate of Piedmont High School. He retired from Westvaco after working in the finishing department, pulp mill for 34 years. Harry enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and spending time on his land. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Keyser, and was also a Freemason. Harry was a U.S Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War Era. Harry was the kindest, loving and caring person and will be missed very much.
Harry is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 20 years, Shirley Haggerty; his sons, Kevin Haggerty and Craig Haggerty; brother, Charles Haggerty; step-daughter, Amy Lease Warnick; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a very special young man in Harry’s life, Ethan Glass; and several nieces and nephews Harry is also survived by his two dogs, Lucy and Sugar who he adored so much.
Family and friends will gather at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Monday, February 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 16 at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
