Glenna Pearl (Lee) McCutcheon passed away at her home on May 20, 2026 after a courageous battle with three rounds of cancer.
She was born on December 15, 1956 to the late Jack Lee and Hilda Boal. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Tommy A. McCutcheon; brother, Edward Lee (Glenda) Barton; sister-in-law, Nancy Evans (Ben, Lonaconing; and brother-in-law, Charles Ray McCutcheon (Cindy), Barton.
Glenna was a member of the Frostburg Church of the Nazarene and served as a board member. She looks forward to meeting her Savior and hearing, “Well done thy good and faithful servant”. She began her career working at Pizza Hut, then McDonald’s, and later retired as an Assistant Manager at Wal-Mart in LaVale. Still wanting to work, she began working until cancer struck again in Westmar Middle School’s cafeteria.
Glenna’s sense of humor, kindness and loyalty to friends led to developing many lifelong friends. Her favorite pastimes were spent with her family members and grandchildren camping at Savage River, trips to Myrtle Beach, SC, and visiting Nascar races at Daytona and Charlotte Speedways and spending winter months in Florida.
She leaves behind three sons: Brian Lee McCutcheon and wife Lesley (Lyons) Barton; Wesley Alan McCutcheon and wife, Carrie (Duckworth)Lonaconing; and Brett Thomas McCutcheon and wife Kate (Neff) of Charlotte, NC. She will forever be loved by seven grandchildren: Brady, Noah, Maverick, Mia, Cole, Maren and Taylor. Other family members include niece, Ashley Arceo (Alex and Amaya) Baltimore; nephews Ben and Jesse Evans (Lonaconing) and Brandon Carr (Barton). She had a close relationship with her special cousin, Lisa Arnold (Butch), Myrtle Beach, SC.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Saturday, May 23rd from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Kristin Beeman and associate Pastor Jamie Biser from the Refuge Community Church.
A celebration dinner will be served at the Barton American Legion following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Glenna’s church, The Frostburg Church of the Nazarene, 150 Center Street, Frostburg, MD 21532.
