Geraldine Bartlett

Geraldine Bartlett, 95, passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at Egle Nursing Home in Lonaconing, Md.

For 68 years, she was very happily married to the late Frank E. Bartlett. Born August, 19, 1923 at Lonaconing, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth Dohm and Carrie (DeVault) Dohm. Also preceding her in death was her sister, Doris (Dohm) Seckman, two brothers, Harry and Donald Dohm and a grandson, Josiah Bartlett.

Surviving Geraldine are her sons and their wives, Frank and Darlene (Bolyard) Bartlett, Phil and Dee Ann (Cleveland) Bartlett. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Carrie (Bartlett) and husband Jason McDonald, Cassie Bartlett and Jeremy Peterson, Justin and wife Heather (Stark) Bartlett. Great granddaughters are Nichole Kennell and Colette Bartlett and great grandson is Cavin Kennell. She also had many nieces, nephews, and their families.

“Gerry” was a devoted wife and mother who truly made her house and home where family was always first. She was a woman of faith. Prior to her illness, was an active member of the First Baptist Chirch in Westernport for over sixty years. Gerry had other interests that included golfing and dancing. She and Dad spent many happy hours through the years at the golf course and at local dances. As an avid reader she often said, “I love a good mystery”.

The family would like to express a very special thanks to staff at Egle Nursing Home for their excellent care of “Mom”. We would also like to thank her nephew Terry Dohm and his wife Melanie who always made a point to visit “Aunt Gerry” when they were in the area.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 on October 27th at Boal Funeral Home in Westernport with visitation at 12:00. Rev Earl Williams will be conducting the service.
