Georgia Carolina Evans, 76, of West Fairview St, Piedmont, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born April 11, 1937 in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Catherine M. (Gatrill) Bryan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger W. Evans, a daughter, Wanda Green, and two sisters and three brothers.
Georgia was a cook, having worked in various restaurants throughout the area including, St. Ann’s Hotel, Merryray, Hamburger Haven, Country Café, Marco’s, Green’s, and Moran Manor Nursing Center, before eventually retiring.
She leaves behind a daughter, Karen Virts of Piedmont, four grandchildren, Tina Lamm and husband Jeff of Keyser, Chris Green and wife Autumn of Westernport, MD, Faith Centofonti and husband James of Keyser, Ricky Stewart Jr. of Piedmont, six great grandchildren, Micah Virts, Bradley Green, Brendon Green, Courtney Green, Colin Stewart, and Alexander Stewart. She is also survived by a niece, Marlene Pinto, a nephew, Joey Smith and numerous other nieces and nephews, and her special companion dog, Molly.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home P.A., Westernport, on Thursday from 1 to 2 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 2:00 PM.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
