Gennalee Broadwater, 83, of Poplar St, Westernport, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Moran Manor Nursing and Rehab, Westernport.

Born August 14, 1934 in Scheer, WV, she was daughter of the late Marvin and Nettie (Feaster) Marple.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Donna Marple, a brother, Marvin “Junior” Marple and a great grandson, Dillon Biggs.

“Jennie” was a homemaker.  She was a member of Freedom Church, McCoole.  She loved being together with her family at barbecues, birthdays and all events and holidays.

She leaves behind her husband, Clem Broadwater, two daughters, Debra Taylor and husband Thomas of Westernport, Vickie Hawkins and husband Greg of Everett, PA, one brother, William Marple of Iowa, one sister, Betty Smith of Rawlings, six grandchildren, Chrissy Sharpless, Brandon Biggs, Bryan Biggs, Sarah Hawkins, Joseph Taylor and Stephanie Taylor. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, Gavin Biggs, Joey, Adrienne, and Annabell Taylor, Emily and Levi Sharpless.

There will be no visitation.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Betty Ann Aronhalt and Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.

Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Freedom Church, McCoole, MD.
