Gary Lee Cheshire

Gary Lee Cheshire, 81, of Westernport, died Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Goodwill Retirement Community, Grantsville.

Born July 25, 1944, in Westernport, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Ruth Cheshire. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Christa (Lambert) Cheshire in 2019.

A graduate of Bruce High School, he worked for more than 30 years at the Luke Paper Mill.

Surviving are his daughter, Wendy Talbott and husband, Jimmy, of Connecticut; son, Jason Cheshire and wife, Carla, of Grahamtown; four grandchildren, Calvin Talbott, Lauren Talbott, Dylan Cheshire, and Gabriella Cheshire, and 10 brothers and sisters.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Goodwill Retirement Community for their professionalism and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Goodwill Retirement Community.

Mr. Cheshire will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, is in charge of arrangements.
