Frederick "Rusty" Jones

Frederick Ray "Rusty" Jones, 66 of Westernport passed away on September 10, 2024. 

Born September 3, 1958, he ws the son of Betty Lou (Carder) Jones and the late William "PJ" Jones. He is preceded in death by his son, Zachary Jones; his brother, Carder Jones, brother-in-law, Phil Sonner; mother-in-law, Dora Westfall; and sister-in-law, Susan Westfall.

Along with his mother, Rusty is also survived by his wife of 38 years, Dora (Westfall) Jones, whom he lovingly called "My Dory"; his sister, Cheryl (Jones) Sonner; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Westfall) Robertson; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Rusty graduated from Piedmont High School in 1976. He was an insulator with the Local 2, and worked in many different places. He was an avid horseshoe player, having played on several different teams. He enjoyed playing pool, and spending time with family and friends at the cabin at Savage River. Rusty loved to party and always looked forward to "fudikie Fridays".

A celebration of life will take place in the near future to honor and celebrate Rusty.
