Francis Zacot

Francis H. “Butch” Zacot, 79, of Barton, passed away, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing.

Born November 20, 1937 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Louise Zacot Murphy and the late Harry Kidwell.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky E. Zacot, a brother, Harry “Sonny” Kidwell and a sister, Kathleen DeShong, and his favorite cat, “Fat Cat”.

Mr. Zacot served in the National Guard.  He was a retired salesman, having sold insurance and worked in various department stores over the years.

He leaves behind his wife, Ruth Ann (Robertson) Zacot, three sons, Craig Zacot of St. Petersburg, FL, Eric Francis Zacot of Cumberland, Dane Zacot and wife Jessica of Lake Worth, FL, a daughter, Julie Violette and husband Jerry of Largo, FL, two brothers, Edward Zacot of Enola, PA, Joe Zacot of Keyser, WV, a sister, Debbie Vanderbeck of Burk, NY, three grandchildren, Eliza Violette, Rebecka Zacot and Cody Zacot, and his former wife, Barbara A. Zacot of Largo, FL.

At Mr. Zacot’s request, his body was donated to the Maryland Anatomy Board.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
