Forrest J. “Dutch” Boggs, 65, of West Hampshire St, Piedmont, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston.

Born October 6, 1950 in Germany, he was the son of the late Forrest J. Boggs Jr, and the late Patricia A. (Boxell) Boggs.

“Dutch” was a 1968 graduate of Bruce High School and a graduate of West Virginia University.

He was a United States Army Veteran having been a Lieutenant during the Vietnam Era.  He was employed at Verso Paper as a winder operator.  “Dutch” was a member of Victory Post #155 American Legion, was an avid hunter and fisherman, Civil War enthusiast and a member of the Western Maryland Coin Club.

He leaves behind his daughters, Tina Lynch and husband Dennis of Fort Ashby, Cyndi Rounds of Barton, Lucy March, whom he raised as his daughter and her husband Abe of Pennsylvania, two brothers, Michael Boggs and wife Paula of Piedmont, and David Boggs of Alexandria, VA.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandon, Devin, and Cameron Lynch, Brycen and Brenden Rounds and Axl March, and special companion, Dawn Zieher of Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Thursday, May 5th from 5 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday, May 6th at 1:00 PM, with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.

Interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Westernport.
