Floretta Ellen (Rhodes) Callis Kelly, 97, of Westernport passed away on January 14, 2017 at Piney Valley in Keyser, WV.

Born November 17, 1919 in Frankville, MD she was the daughter of the late Zelda Mae (Wilson) and William David Rhodes. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, F. Zihlman “Zig” Callis, and William P. Kelly. She is also preceded in death by her son, Zihlman David Callis, and her brothers, William M. Rhodes, Sr., Orville Grant “Ben” Rhodes and Houston Stanley Rhodes; and special friend Otho Rogers

Floretta was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, WV, where she once served as treasurer for many years. She was a manager at the HP Store, and also worked for the Upper Potomac Cable Company. She enjoyed water aerobics, and found herself leading the class. Floretta loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with all of them.

Floretta is survived by her daughters, Claudette “Cindy” Scheermesser and husband, Edward of Westernport, Rita Mayolo and husband, Sylvio of Wycliffe, KY; her sister, Eva Pendergast of Salt Lake City, UT; a step daughter, Nancy Thompson and husband Jim of Georgia; and daughter-in-law, Connie (Agnew) Callis of Cumberland. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jean (Scheermesser) Fazenbaker and husband, Craig of New Creek, WV, Steven Scheermesser and wife, Debbie of Keyser, WV, Michael Mayolo of Barlow, KY, Mark Mayolo and wife Tracye of Smyrna, TN, John Mayolo of Paducah, KY, Jay Mayolo of Wickliffe, KY, Debra Callis of Hendersonville, NC, Fred Callis of Keyser, WV, and Ellen (Callis) Hughes and husband, Josh of Purcellville, VA; and step grandsons, Christopher and Timmy Thompson of Georgia. Floretta is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Canon Fazenbaker and wife, Sara, Cole Fazenbaker and wife, Laura, Brandy (Mayolo) Elliott and husband, Phil, Sarah Mayolo, Rachael (Mayolo) Helm and husband, Brandon, Silvio Mayolo, Maggie Mayolo, Matthew Mayolo, Braxton Hughes, Addisyn Hughes, Autumn Smith; three great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Florence Welsh and Beverly Thorn.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, January 21st at Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, WV from 10 to 11 am. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Steve Grimes officiating.
